Giving back to our community is very important to us, and we're proud of our sustainability program at Catersource. In 2018, we partnered with SEARCH Foundation, International Caterers Association Educational Foundation (ICAEF) and Three Square. You can learn more about the charities and give your support by reading below.
The SEARCH Foundation was formed in 1997 to assist event, meetings and hospitality professionals faced with a life threatening illness. Since that time it has expanded to include not only illness, but also any catastrophic occurrence.
ICA Educational Foundation (ICAEF)
The ICA Educational Foundation (ICAEF) was chartered in 2002 to be the philanthropic partner of the International Caterers Association (ICA). The ICAEF is a not-for-profit Foundation dedicated to providing educational opportunities for catering professionals and those desiring to become catering professionals. The ICAEF makes arrangements with various educational organizations, trade shows and institutions to teach courses of instruction in catering, food handling and areas related to the field of catering, and provide qualified teaching personnel for such purposes.
Three Square is Southern Nevada’s only food bank providing food assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties. Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. They combine food banking (warehousing canned and boxed goods), food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused meats, bread, dairy and produce from hospitality and grocery outlets), and ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada.
The Foundation of NACE
Now in its 31st year, the Foundation of NACE’s mission is to support the catering and events industry by educating its members and investing in its community. Since 1985, the Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 to student members and members pursuing careers in catering and events. Each year, the Foundation is responsible for distributing a minimum of $10,000 in community grants to local chapters.
