Catersource/Sabert Beyond the Plate Online Contest (the “Contest”)


ELIGIBILITY: OPEN ONLY TO INDIVIDUALS, 18 OR OLDER, WHO ARE LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, WHO ATTEND THE 2018 catersource event SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE FROM FEBRUARY 24 -27, 2019, AT THE EARNEST M. MORIAL CONVENTION CENTER, NEW ORLEANS, LA (“EVENT”). VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Employees of UBM LLC and Sabert Corporation (collectively, the “Sponsor”), their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional and agencies (collectively, the “Sponsor and its Administrators”), and their affiliates and each of their respective employees, shareholders, directors, officers, members, assigns, and agents and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate or win. By participating, entrants (as defined below) agree to be bound by these Contest Official Rules (the “Rules”) and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are binding and final on all matters relating to the Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest begins on December 17, 2018 at 9:00am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on February 8, 2019 at 5:00pm Pacific Time (“PT”) (“Contest Period”). However, the online submissions will be accepted from November 21,2018 through January 31, 2019 and limited to the first 100 entries.

HOW TO ENTER: From November 21, 2018 through January 31, 2019 entrant (“Entrant”) may register and enter the Contest via www.catersource.com. Starting on December 17th the first 100 registered and qualified Entrant’s will receive one (1) complimentary Stackables Platter Sample Kit from Sabert via regular US mail. Each Entrant is required to create, plate and photograph their own cuisine or course type and post to their personal Instagram account (collectively, the “Submission”) and include hashtag #Catersource, #sabertcorp #beyondtheplate and tag @catersource and @sabertcorp. Each cuisine or course must be plated and photographed on and accompanied by the Sabert Stackable Platterfrom the sample kit, otherwise the Entrant will be disqualified. All Submissions uploaded (as applicable) shall herein be referred to as the “Contest Entry”). Limit two (2) Contest Entries per person. All Contest Entries must be completed and received by the dates and times specified above to be included in the Entry Period judging. Contest Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entrants and winners acknowledge and agree that their Contest Entries, including the photos included therein, become the property of the Sponsor, which thereby has the right use, reproduce, copy, publish, display, distribute, perform, translate, adapt, modify, and otherwise exploit the Contest Entries in any way it sees fit and to incorporate them in other works in any and all markets and media.

JUDGING: From February 8, 2019 through February 15, 2019, the Submissions will be judged by a panel of judges from Catesource and Sabert (the “Judging Panel”) for the six (6) most creative and out of the box uses of the Sabert Stackables Platter. The Judging Panel will select six (6) finalists who will be invited to participate in the Beyond the Plate Live Competition held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LA on Feburary 27, 2019. All finalists will be responsible for their own costs of travel, accomodations and entry into the event. All finalists must be a trade show only or greater pass holder. The six (6) finalists will compete at the Culinary Main Stage on the tradeshow floor, creating a unique display using items in the Culinary Main Stage Pantry and the Sabert Stackables Platter. All qualified entries must utilize the Sabert Stackable Platterin their final presentation. Potential winners will be selected by the Judging Panel as to the best plated dish from the six (6) finalists. Potential winners will required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and, unless prohibited, a Publicity Release. If a potential winner does not respond to the initial notification within the time period stated in the email notification or does not return all required documentation within the specified time period, or if a prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these rules, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion and time permitting, an alternate winner selected.

PRIZES: Three (3) VISA gift cards. Total ARV of all prizes: US$1,850. 1st place prize $1,000, 2nd place prize $500, and 3rd place prize of $350. Terms and conditions apply to use of gift card. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. All federal, state and local taxes, if any, and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winners. Winners must be onsite at Event to accept their prize. Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer a prize, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Limit one (1) prize per person. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

PUBLICITY GRANT: Each winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes in all media now known or hereafter discovered, in any manner, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation or notification to, or permission from, winner.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: The personal information which you provide to the Sponsor will be held on a database and, where the Sponsor has appropriate authorization and consent, may be shared with the Sponsor’s affiliates and selected third parties internationally for marketing purposes. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, or garbled registrations or entries or illegible or postage-due mail; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of registrations or entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any Contest-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Contest or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the sweepstakes or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest should any portion of the Contest be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries. If terminated, Sponsor may, at its discretion, select the potential winners from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Entrants, by participating, agree that Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliated companies, dealers, service agencies, independent contractors, advertising and promotion agencies, web hosting and service and fulfillment providers, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prizes (including any travel or activity related thereto) or participation in this Contest. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Contest Rules. As a condition of entering the Contest, entrant agrees that: (i) under no circumstance will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant hereby waives all right to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages; (ii) all causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest, or prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (iii) any and all claims, judgements, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event will Entrant be entitled to receive attorneys’ fees or other costs.

Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses.
